Job Opportunity: Generalist Health Worker, Aboriginal
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Generalist Health Worker to join our team. This exciting opportunity exists for an individual who is passionate about providing high-quality care and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their families.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively under supervision within the multi-disciplinary team to provide quality care, including health awareness, education, and health intervention strategies for individuals and the community.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting health promotion programs, appropriate referral, advice, and information;
- Providing support and advocacy to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and their families accessing services at the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service;
- Developing and maintaining links within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and with relevant organizations; and
- Demonstrating a sound knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and protocols.
