Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for providing financial support to our management accountant and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • General Finance Duties
    • Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate records.
    • Manage daily cash flow for receipts and accounts payable.
    • Perform journal entries and data entry tasks.
    • Assist the accountant as required.
  • Accounts Payable
    • Oversee and manage outstanding invoices in the system.
    • Reconcile supplier accounts and prepare IAS/BAS statements.
    • Support the audit process as needed.
  • Support to Management Accountant
    • Reconcile and settle wholesale market transactions.
    • Manage AEMO prudential credit arrangements.
    • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
    • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in an accounts or assistant accountant role.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including proficiency in V and X lookups.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn and develop in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current or willingness to study CPA certification.
