Placement Opportunity in Aged Care

Bamboo Home Support offers a placement opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in aged care and disability. This is a unique chance to develop your skills and knowledge in providing person-centred care to vulnerable individuals.

The placement will provide you with exposure to real client scenarios, hands-on mentoring from experienced support staff and case managers, and possible employment opportunities after completion.

  • Gain practical experience in supporting daily living tasks, including personal care, domestic help, and social activities.

  • Develop your documentation and shift note skills, as well as infection control and hygiene practices.

  • Improve your communication skills by interacting with clients, families, and care teams.

  • Get real-world exposure to community-based care and understand the importance of a compassionate and respectful attitude towards vulnerable people.

Requirements

  • Enrolment letter or student ID from a recognised RTO/college.

  • Placement agreement from the training provider.

  • Valid National Police Clearance.

  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply).

  • COVID-19 Vaccination (as per SA Health requirements).

  • A compassionate and respectful attitude towards vulnerable people.
