About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to join our team at Michael Page. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing logistics operations, including shipping and expediting, forward planning to ensure timely delivery, collaborating with stakeholders for freight solutions, mitigating risks and optimising spending, maintaining compliance with global agreements, handling inquiries and tracking shipments, completing pre-alert documents for inbound shipments, managing customs duty and freight invoices, and preparing and sharing inbound shipment reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage logistics operations, including shipping and expediting, to ensure timely delivery and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement freight solutions that meet business needs.
  • Optimise spending and ensure compliance with global agreements.
  • Handle inquiries and track shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Complete pre-alert documents for inbound shipments and manage customs duty and freight invoices.
  • Prepare and share inbound shipment reports to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a thorough understanding of international (import/export/air/ocean) and domestic (air/road) transport.
  • SAP experience is essential, ideally S/4HANA.
  • Strong understanding of customs and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
