
Board Support Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the organization's governance requirements and facilitate effective board interactions.
- Coordinate all board meetings, manage calendars, prepare agendas, liaise with directors and stakeholders, and distribute necessary documents in a timely manner.
- Develop and draft key board papers, focusing on governance and policy matters, to ensure informed decision-making.
- Ensure seamless execution of board meetings, drafting minutes, and circulating resolutions promptly.
- Prepare comprehensive corporate governance statements and director reports for annual publications.
- Effectively manage ASIC lodgements, ensuring timely compliance.
- Maintain accurate registers of directors' interests and advisers, identifying potential conflicts of interest, and providing guidance to directors and management.
- Drive process improvements and enhance efficiency within the company secretariat function.
- Collaborate with the implementation of policies and procedures, including providing training and support.
Requirements:
- A degree qualification (preferably legal) and membership in the Governance Institute of Australia.
- Ideally five years of experience supporting a board in a company secretary/governance role.
- Demonstrated expertise working closely with the board.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Capacity to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
