Job Summary

Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Specialist is a critical role that involves planning and coordinating maintenance activities across various operational assets to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations at a site-based coal mine operation near Blackwater, Queensland.

  • This position requires effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills to work closely with operations and maintenance teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in mechanical or electrical fields, with experience in maintenance planning and scheduling preferably in mining or heavy industry.
About the Role

This Maintenance Planner/Scheduler role is responsible for developing and maintaining effective maintenance plans across various opencut operational assets.

The successful candidate will be proficient in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and able to use SAP CMMS to manage work orders, track asset performance, and maintain accurate records.

Liaising with operations and maintenance teams is crucial to minimising downtime and optimising scheduling. A high level of attention to detail is required to ensure all planning activities comply with site safety, environmental, and operational standards.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in mechanical or electrical fields;
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning and scheduling preferably in mining or heavy industry;
  • Broad understanding of maintenance requirements for operational assets in mining environments;
  • Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS);
  • High attention to detail with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
