Expert Oncology Care Specialist Wanted
The Western Australian Country Health Service is seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to provide expert clinical guidance and leadership within our Oncology Coordination team.
In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality cancer care while promoting best practices and supporting both patients and healthcare professionals in the community.
">- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary ward service, collaborating with all interdisciplinary teams within the region.
- Provide advanced clinical leadership to medical, nursing, and allied health professionals in cancer care.
- Initiate and evaluate research to establish and promote clinical best practices in oncology.
- Develop, implement, and promote evidence-based standards and policies compliant with relevant regulations.
- Actively participate in the recruitment, selection, and orientation of staff to build a strong oncology team.
- Manage quality improvement activities and provide clinical statistics and reports as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive clinical/professional knowledge in oncology specialty
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Sound understanding of human resource principles
- Knowledge of quality improvement and patient safety principles
- Eligibility for a current C or C-A Class Drivers licence
- Progress towards a postgraduate qualification in oncology is desirable
