We are seeking a highly skilled legal professional to join our team as a Legal Counsel. In this role, you will be responsible for providing corporate legal advice to all of our businesses.
- Undertake the review of marketing material to ensure legal compliance.
- Provide commercial and governance advice to all of our companies.
- Contract drafting, review and negotiation.
- Insurance product advice and documentation.
- Statutory interpretation and advice on legislative reform impacting our business.
- Litigation support for corporate litigation.
- Legal Advice on complaints and potential disputes.
- Staff legal training.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in law (LLB or equivalent).
- A current legal practising certificate – mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mid or top-tier firm.
- Experience in providing commercial legal advice.
- Previous experience working in an insurance environment (beneficial).
- A pragmatic and commercial focus.
- Highly developed stakeholder and people management skills.
- High-level written and spoken language skills.
