Database Administrator Role

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale databases to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance Telco's CRM Oracle database, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Experience in handling billing & CRM databases, with a strong understanding of data management principles
  • Proactively manage and maintain security standards and controls to ensure data integrity and compliance
  • Take ownership of performance and capacity monitoring aspects of the database, optimizing query execution plans and indexes
  • Collaborate with application developers to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring seamless system integration
  • Determine and document database policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and best practices
Requirements
  • Strong practical experience of Oracle 19C and above versions
  • Familiarity with Oracle management tools (Data Guard, RMAN, Data pump)
  • Ability to execute data migration jobs and scripts as required, with attention to detail and quality control
  • Assist the infrastructure team in sizing hardware used for the database, contributing to cost optimization efforts
  • Support disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime
  • Performance testing and evaluation to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity, identifying bottlenecks and deadlock issues
