Optimizing Laboratory Efficiency: A System Administrator Role

This position is responsible for maintaining SLIM/G6 systems to ensure business unit compliance with ISO9001 certification and, where applicable, ISO17025.

  • Maintenance of SLIM/G6 systems involves ensuring they are running the most up-to-date versions and releases.
  • The role requires scheduling regular maintenance of all SLIM systems.
  • Preparation of SLIM systems for remote mine sites is also a key responsibility.
  • General IT support for laboratories related to SLIM is another essential task.
  • Providing practical training in relation to SLIM/G6 to staff is a critical component of this role.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Cert IV or similar qualification in programming.
  • Previous experience working with CCLAS or similar in a similar position is highly valued.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing a sustainable safety culture within a laboratory is essential.
  • A solid understanding of laboratory practices, as well as chemical processes, is required.
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills, including VBA, VBS, and SQL knowledge, are necessary.
