About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team in NSW. As a key member of our environmental consulting company, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality outcomes that prioritise environmental sustainability and conservation.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have more than 5 years of hands-on experience conducting ecological surveys, preparing reports, and providing expert advice to clients across various industries. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping us meet our clients' needs while upholding the highest standards of environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting ecological surveys and assessments in accordance with regulatory requirements to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Preparing comprehensive Flora and Fauna Reports, Vegetation Management Plans, and other environmental documents that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Providing expert advice on bushfire hazards, development constraints, and environmental planning to support informed decision-making.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes that align with our company's values and mission.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience working as an Ecologist or Environmental Scientist, preferably in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in ecological survey methodologies, report writing, and communication skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including Australian environmental policies and guidelines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and build strong relationships with clients.

Estimated Salary Range:

A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
