Job Title: Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our risk management team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust data protection framework across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on data protection matters to stakeholders.
  • Support project teams in data impact assessments and act as a point of contact for data incidents.
  • Manage incident processes, oversee regulatory changes impacting data protection, and prepare reports.
  • Assist with compliance through policies, training, and reporting, and review data risks and controls across retail banking and wealth products.

To succeed in this role, you will require relevant tertiary qualifications in law, finance, or commerce, experience in risk, compliance, or regulatory roles, and strong relationship management skills.

You will also need problem-solving skills, the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, and excellent communication skills.
