Senior Data Center Infrastructure Specialist

As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing constructability standards that ensure seamless data center infrastructure system designs and construction methodologies.
This strategic position requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, infrastructure system architecture, and construction methodologies to drive technical trade-offs between short-term project needs and long-term business requirements.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects, prioritizing safety, security, and operational excellence while meeting customer demands for capacity and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain engineering design constructability standards
- Collaborate with designers to review and provide input on global standards and data center designs
- Serve as the point of escalation for complex constructability issues
- Conduct site evaluations and assess feasibility for new data center sites
- Perform financial analysis of construction methods and design alternatives
- Review electrical and mechanical designs associated with new data center construction or existing data center optimization
This critical role demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with effective communication and collaboration abilities to achieve project goals.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management, and possess 10+ years of experience in data center delivery, design, commissioning, and construction, including in-depth knowledge of critical data center equipment.
A Master's Degree in Engineering or Construction-related disciplines is highly valued, as is the ability to develop innovative solutions through exploration, design, testing, and deployment.
Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE), LEED, Program Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are also highly regarded.
