Job Title: Data Center Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced data center engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure services group, you will be responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.

As an engineer, you will provide full life-cycle support to AWS data centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and maintain high levels of availability, efficiency, and sustainability in our data centers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and equipment submittal review for new data centers
  • Troubleshooting and conducting root cause analysis for site/equipment failures
  • Providing operational support and training to internal teams
  • Developing innovative solutions for data center upgrades and design-solutions
  • Leading engineering audits and producing reports outlining risks and recommended mitigations

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience with industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities
  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment/design related to data centers
  • EPMS/SCADA/BMS controls system experience and liquid cooling expertise
