About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to join our team at IBM. As a technical leader, you will play a key role in defining the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop mainframe applications, including batch and online processes, using technical skills such as Cobol, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and more.
  2. Work with advanced analytical tools like ADDI to analyze mainframe applications and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  4. Develop and implement architectural solutions for payments applications within CBA, ensuring all standards are followed.
  5. Design and develop automations for mainframe applications using Rexx and Clist.
  6. Manage and own deliverables of multiple mainframe batch projects for payments applications within CBA.
  7. Participate in client meetings to update the status and provide demos on new initiatives.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 16+ years of experience on Mainframe applications, including batch and online processes, with technical skills such as Cobol, JCL, VSAM, CICS, and more.
  2. Strong analytical skills, with experience in using advanced analytical tools like ADDI.
  3. Experience in creating automations for mainframe applications using Rexx and Clist.
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Experience in the Banking and finance domain, with a good understanding of payments and POS transactions switch processing.
  6. Certified and understanding of mainframe automation tools like ZOWE.
  7. Certified on AWS and understanding of cloud is a plus.
