We are seeking an experienced Application Architect to join our team at IBM. As a technical leader, you will play a key role in defining the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms.
About the Role
As an Application Architect, you will serve as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing mainframe applications using advanced analytical tools like ADDI.
- Working with the Application Development team to support the full life cycle of enhancements.
- Collaborating with clients to update the status and provide demos on new initiatives.
- Managing and owning deliverables of multiple mainframe batch projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills:
- Minimum 16+ years of experience on Mainframe applications including Batch and online processes with technical skills like Cobol, JCL, VSAM, CICS, etc.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in using the latest analytical tools like ADDI.
- Experience in creating automations for mainframe applications using Rexx and Clist as key skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in the Banking and finance domain with a good understanding of payments and POS transactions switch processing.
- Certified and understanding of mainframe automation tools like ZOWE.
- Certified on AWS and understanding of cloud is a nice-to-have.
