About the Position

This role leads with purpose in a community-focused setting, where people connect, grow, and thrive. The position involves overseeing daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, mentoring student baristas, supervising staff, handling customer queries, preparing food and beverages, and ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage daily café operations to meet customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate warm and friendly service to retain customers.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment among staff.
  • Handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Possess excellent food preparation and presentation skills.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a barista and team leader in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to provide training and guidance to others in a café or hospitality setting.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and contributing to community impact.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate a small team effectively.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
