A challenging and rewarding position has arisen in our dynamic Ophthalmology Unit, providing a unique opportunity to develop broad experience in ophthalmic care.
This role involves delivering high-quality patient care across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical environments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of consultants, registrars, nursing, and allied health staff, contributing to departmental teaching, clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality ophthalmic care in a tertiary teaching environment
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
- Participating in departmental teaching, clinical audits, and research activities
- Fulfilling on-call duties and contributing to education and audit activities
- Working in a collaborative and collegiate unit committed to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- General Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility), a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience, and demonstrated experience in Ophthalmology
- Australian permanent residency or citizenship
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care
- Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and ability to communicate at all levels
- Demonstrated capability and interest in research
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching
- Demonstrated surgical competency
