A challenging and rewarding position has arisen in our dynamic Ophthalmology Unit, providing a unique opportunity to develop broad experience in ophthalmic care.

This role involves delivering high-quality patient care across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical environments. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of consultants, registrars, nursing, and allied health staff, contributing to departmental teaching, clinical audits, research, and quality improvement initiatives.

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality ophthalmic care in a tertiary teaching environment
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Participating in departmental teaching, clinical audits, and research activities
  • Fulfilling on-call duties and contributing to education and audit activities
  • Working in a collaborative and collegiate unit committed to patient-centered care and clinical excellence

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • General Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility), a minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience, and demonstrated experience in Ophthalmology
  • Australian permanent residency or citizenship
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care
  • Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, and ability to communicate at all levels
  • Demonstrated capability and interest in research
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching
  • Demonstrated surgical competency
