Production Director

The Production Director is a strategic leader responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production processes, meeting quality and cost targets, and maintaining a safe working environment.

This role involves overseeing all aspects of production, from planning and execution to monitoring and improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in manufacturing, preferably in dairy manufacturing, with at least 5+ years of experience in production management.

A successful Production Director must possess excellent leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, drive, and enable high performance across diverse teams. They will also be proficient in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and other management systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives, including quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of production coordinators, leading hands, and operators to enhance performance and productivity.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets and resources to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to employees.
  • Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and senior management.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and streamline processes to enhance efficiency and reduce unplanned stops and wastage.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure operations comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure quality and safety standards are met throughout the production process.
Requirements:
  • A strong foundation in manufacturing, preferably in dairy manufacturing, with at least 5+ years in production management.
  • Technically, the role demands proficiency in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, and other management systems.
