Culturally Safe Suicide Prevention Specialist
">We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Culturally Safe Suicide Prevention Specialist to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in improving access to culturally safe and comprehensive care and support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at risk of suicide.
The successful candidate will provide direct line support to colleagues, coordinate workflow and other team commitments, and ensure that the level of service provided to clients is commensurate to funding while being sustainable for team members.

">- Key Responsibilities:
- Support local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities to improve access to culturally safe and appropriate suicide prevention services
- Provide direct line support to colleagues
- Coordinate workflow and other team commitments
- Ensure strong linkages and brokerage activities with internal and external services related to key performance outcomes
- Promotion of the service through networking, education, and presentations
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Essential:
- Qualification and/or Cert IV in Aboriginal health / or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or Equivalent
- Registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., AHPRA, AASW)
- Practice knowledge and experience working in a mental health, social work or primary care focused case work and clinical interventions
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of social and emotional wellbeing issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to formulate strategies to solve complex problems
