Job Title: Senior Developer - Advanced Engineering Solutions

Overview:

The role of the senior developer is to lead the development of advanced engineering solutions, ensuring efficient and secure code is created using established best practices. You will guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative development culture and driving technical innovation within the section.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice on proposed solutions.
  • Produce fit-for-purpose code that is secure and follows set coding practices/processes.
  • Participate in peer reviews of code and embrace constructive feedback to ensure high quality code is developed.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical and/or security application documents.
  • Implement new functionality within a multi-tier enterprise environment, including front end web development, server-side development and database design.
  • Investigate and resolve issues found in the developed solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan and implement solutions.
  • Provide technical advice about technologies that could potentially be incorporated into solutions.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Deploy solutions during go-live windows to multiple environments.
  • Work closely with the Lead Developer to ensure the efficient operation of the team.
  • Create technical/release documentation.
  • Mentor and upskill APS staff to deliver outcomes in accordance with product goals.
  • Contribute to planning team workloads.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile structure.

Eligibility: The candidate must hold active Negative Vetting (NV1) clearance.
