We are seeking a skilled and compassionate healthcare professional to fill a Pathology Collector position.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting samples with care and attention, maintaining meticulous records, delivering documentation on time, preparing specimens for transport and testing, and liaising with various stakeholders.
This role requires strong customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently in a solo clinic. A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics are also necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Sample Collection: Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients with care and attention.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of every patient and sample collected.
- Documentation: Deliver documentation to clients within strict turnaround times.
- Specimen Preparation: Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing.
- Liaison: Communicate effectively with customers, clinic staff, and couriers.
- Qualifications: Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background, with demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy.
- Skills: Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy.
- Attributes: Organised, with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Work Environment: Ability to work autonomously, sometimes in a solo clinic setting.
