Job Opportunity: Lead Surgeon

With a focus on delivering exceptional patient care, this role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced surgeon to lead and manage patients in the General Surgery Unit.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex medical cases under supervision of senior consultants
  • Advocate for patient well-being and education
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior surgeons and medical officers
  • Pursue research opportunities with the aim of publishing scholarly work

Requirements:
  • Hold a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent registrable qualification
  • Be registered with AHPRA
  • Be willing to participate in a 7-day, 24-hour roster
  • Provide evidence of vaccination against common diseases
  • Undergo tuberculosis screening as necessary
  • Disclose any serious disciplinary history
  • Pass thorough background checks
