Disability Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in the Redland Bay area. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live a fulfilling life with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support to participants in their daily routines, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with participants and their families, ensuring their needs and goals are met.
- Assist with daily planning, advocacy, communication, and transportation in community settings.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a high level of service delivery and participant satisfaction.
- A minimum certificate III, diploma, or qualification in disability or a relevant area such as aged care, community services, or health.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- A current Paid employee Blue Card (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- A current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- Experience in managing CPAP and Catheter care.
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willingness to obtain before employment).
- Full Australian working rights.
- A smartphone with internet access.
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor.
As a Support Worker with Real Community Services, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
Please note that Real Community Services uses an app to assist Support Workers with reporting purposes. Your agreement and capacity to use the app to fulfill reporting obligations forms part of your employment conditions.
