Advanced Patient Care Specialist

The South Eastern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their Critical Care Medicine team at The Sutherland Hospital. As a skilled nursing professional, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Intensive Care and High Dependency Unit.
You will work closely with a specialist multidisciplinary team, including a Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultant, and a Clinical Nurse Educator. The ideal candidate will have current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients consistent with SESLHD policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Offer education and support to patients and families on health-related topics.
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
