Job Description:

The role of a Rural After Hours Services (RAHS) team member involves conducting urgent rural area visits to respond to cases where existing and new Child Protection clients are at significant risk and require an urgent out-of-hours response.

Working closely with team managers, you will make key decisions and thrive in a fast-paced environment while working part-time hours during the day and on call during weeknights, weekends, and public holidays.

The core function of the RAHS team is to provide critical support to vulnerable populations across metropolitan, rural, and regional Victoria.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of child protection principles and practices
