Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to spearhead our enterprise-wide credit risk strategy for accounts in arrears, with a focus on optimising collections performance and loss recovery across our credit card and lending portfolios.

This role is responsible for developing and executing the overall credit risk framework, including defining and implementing segmentation strategies for delinquent accounts to maximise collections effectiveness and customer outcomes.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in credit risk management, collections analytics, and regulatory compliance, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage third-party partnerships.

  • Develop and execute the enterprise-wide credit risk strategy for accounts in arrears, focusing on optimising collections performance and loss recovery.
  • Define and implement segmentation strategies for delinquent accounts to maximise collections effectiveness and customer outcomes.
  • Lead key strategic initiatives to modernise collections capabilities, including the use of AI, machine learning, and digital engagement tools through third-party vendors.
  • Manage key partnerships with outsourced debt collection agencies and third-party recovery providers.
  • Ensure robust governance and controls are in place for all collections-related risk activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a numeric discipline or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in credit risk management, with a strong focus on collections and recoveries.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful collections strategies in a financial services environment.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors or outsourced service providers.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements related to collections and credit risk.
