
Biomedical Engineering Technical Specialist

This is a crucial position in the Biomedical Engineering Team, responsible for providing equipment maintenance and technical support services.
The ideal candidate will have experience in repair and maintenance of electronics equipment, electromechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic layouts as applied to medical and laboratory electronic equipment.
The successful applicant will be working with a small team in a dedicated area, carrying out acceptance testing, calibration, maintenance, repair, development, education, documentation and other technical support services with regard to medical technology. This includes equipment that can be electromechanical, mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic in operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Possess an Associate Diploma in Electronics (or equivalent qualification).
- Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to medical equipment.
- Current NSW drivers licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
In addition, the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
