As a structural engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the success of the Snowy 2.0 project.

This iconic undertaking is one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world and requires the expertise of skilled engineers to ensure its completion.

Key responsibilities include reviewing structural drawings and shop fabrication plans to confirm build feasibility, material specs, and load requirements.

Liasons with design engineers are crucial to resolve drawing errors, improve fabrication outcomes, and ensure constructability of designs.

Monitoring workshop outputs for compliance with AS 4100, AS 1554, and AS/NZS 5131 is essential.

Providing day-to-day engineering support to boilermakers, welders, and supervisors is a vital part of this role.

To be successful in this position, you will require:

Structural engineering knowledge, including an in-depth understanding of steel design, welding specs, and fabrication standards.

Workshop familiarity, including practical exposure to fabrication processes and workshop operations, is also necessary.

Problem-solving skills, with an engineering-minded approach to resolving build or compliance issues, are critical.
