Job Title: Generator Maintenance Coordinator

 

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing Generator Maintenance activities, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, overhaul, repair, modification, and upgrade. They will also review and inspect tooling and equipment during on-site preparation phase, arrange logistics and material handling, and ensure proper documentation of activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee Generator Maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements.
  • Review and inspect tooling and equipment during on-site preparation phase to ensure readiness for maintenance activities.
  • Arrange logistics and material handling to support maintenance activities, ensuring timely delivery of necessary resources.
  • Ensure proper documentation of activities, including check sheets, test procedures, and status reports.
  • Perform troubleshooting for Generator and auxiliary system issues, supporting Steam Turbine and/or Gas Turbine maintenance activities as required.
  • Actively participate in outage preparation activities, collaborating with project engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of maintenance activities.
  • Provide guidance and training to personnel on site, promoting cross-skilling and development opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE standards and safety protocols, conducting last-minute risk assessments and enforcing use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of working experience in power generation industry, preferably in Generator Supervisor role.
  • Experience in Generator winding repair, Generator Auxiliary systems maintenance, and/or Generator New Installation is beneficial.
  • Able to read, understand, and work independently with drawings, specifications, and unit conversions in accordance with international codes and standards.
  • Good understanding of HSE and Quality requirements and standards in related field of work.
  • Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility and ownership.
