We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our veterinary hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients and providing excellent service to our clients.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and documenting patient vital signs during procedures and recovery, assisting with surgical preparation, anaesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care, performing laboratory tests, administering medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians, and educating and providing guidance to clients on pet care and treatments.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and document patient vital signs during procedures and recovery
- Assist with surgical preparation, anaesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care
- Perform laboratory tests, including bloodwork, urinalysis, faecal examinations, and progesterone testing
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Educate and provide guidance to clients on pet care and treatments
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Current registration with the relevant professional body
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Degree or diploma in veterinary nursing or related field
- Flexible rostering options in various shifts and departments
