About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and passionate Chef to join our team at Baptcare's Westhaven Community in Footscray. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering meals and refreshments that meet the individual nutritional needs and preferences of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the production of food items such as therapeutic diets and special meals.
  • Follow recipe cards and prepare defined menus in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Head Chef with the management of the Food Safety Program Guidelines and its day-to-day compliance.
  • Assist with stock inventory and maintain high standards of food handling practices.
  • Deliver meals across dining areas within the residence.
  • Provide support to the retail café area or for functions and events within the residence.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about growing their career in hospitality within the residential aged care space. The ideal candidate will have relevant industry training, commercial cookery experience, and a strong understanding of menu planning and special diet preparation.
