Safety Manager Specialist

A leading energy company is seeking an experienced Process Safety Professional to join their team.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in process safety, with experience in developing and implementing process safety management plans.
- Develop and implement process safety management plans to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Lead and coordinate management of change (MOC) activities and SAP administration.
- Conduct incident investigations, alarm management reviews, and provide functional safety oversight.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure safety-critical controls are integrated into asset plans.
- Conduct HAZOPs and CHAZOPs for new plant and processes.
- Present process safety metrics and progress to senior leadership.
- Stay informed on industry advancements and apply best practices.
- Deliver in-house training on process safety, MOC, and technical compliance.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience in utilities, power generation, or large-scale process plants or heavy industry, mining, and oil and gas.
- An understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with SAP, MyHSE, and other technical systems is desirable.
