Job Summary:

As a Concrete Reinforcing Products Specialist, you will work out of our Carole Park Trade Service Centre reporting directly to the National Scheduling Manager. Your responsibilities will include interpreting customer-approved specifications, structural, and architectural drawings, preparing estimates, bar schedules detailing diameters, grades, shape of bars for production, accurately taking off reinforcing steel, and preparation of cutting lists (works schedule) of reinforcing for manufacture and delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess practical and structural knowledge of products and services within the construction and building industry, extended knowledge of construction sequencing and structural properties and designs, familiarity with all types of structural drawings for construction including domestic, residential, multi-storey, and civil works, and extended knowledge of mathematics including trigonometry and geometrical equations.

You should have prior experience within the construction industry, preferably in concreting, steel fixing, construction management, and civil works backgrounds. A customer-oriented mindset and ability to competently liaise with internal staff and customers in a professional and pleasant manner are essential.

Additionally, you must be able to work in a team environment that fosters collaboration and results-driven goals, possess strong relationship-building skills, and be able to multitask between different tasks effectively.
