Logistics Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Support Specialist to join our team in the Collins Class Submarine Life of Type Extension Project (LOTE). As a key member of the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) section, you will be responsible for planning and conducting materiel and logistics related acquisition tasks to ensure the Collins Class Submarines are supportable for their extended life of type.

The ILS Section supports the LOTE Project through:

  • Developing and maintaining project ILS plans aligned to Defence policy and best practice to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve project outcomes through formal working groups and relationships.
  • Reviewing and assessing ILS related acquisition products.
About Our Role

The Collins Class Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia's Collins Class submarines. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the success of this critical program.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • At least four years of experience in planning, practice or assurance of ILS or Materiel Logistics.
  • A well-developed understanding of and compliance to relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence's mission and policy requirements applicable to submarine acquisition, upkeep, update and upgrades.
  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant vocational training.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sound technical verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Accountability for achieving ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
