**Mechanic - Penrith Depot Maintenance Role**

About the Role: This key position is a critical part of our fleet maintenance team at Busways, where you will be responsible for the ongoing support of innovative practices and contribute to our goal of being an industry leader in vehicle maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, Inspect, and Repair Vehicles: Ensure all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures, adhering to WHS regulations and relevant company policies.
  • Maintain Fleet and Assets: Ensure all company vehicles and assets are maintained in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Communicate Effectively: Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues to the team and management.
  • Physical Demands: Be physically fit to perform the necessities of the role, including carrying out field-related mechanical repairs.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Pay and Benefits: Earning potential of $90,000 - $115,000+, including reasonable overtime loading and generous allowances, inclusive of super.
  • Ongoing Training and Development: Opportunities for in-house training and development, including Heavy Vehicle Brake courses presented by a registered TAFE teacher.

Requirements:

  • Trade Qualifications: Hold the relevant trade qualifications, including Certificate III in Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or above.
  • Experience: Experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles, with a strong understanding of WHS regulations and relevant company policies.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with the team and management.
