Our Fleet

The council's fleet is comprised of over 200 vehicles, including light fleet and heavy fleet, which are essential for providing various services to the community. As the Fleet Administrator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of these assets.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the council's light fleet, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance and support.
  • Administer and assist with management and compliance for heavy fleet and plant.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in every aspect of fleet management, including allocation, repairs and maintenance, bookings, fuel cards, servicing, compliance, registration and training.
  • Offer superior customer service to multiple stakeholders, including internal fleet and leaseback customers, drivers, operators and field supervisors, Transport for NSW, Rural Fire Service, State Emergency Services, Finance and Fleet Management, Motor Vehicle Group.

Requirements

  • Tertiary or trade qualification in Plant and Fleet Management or a relevant qualification and/or extensive fleet administration experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff.
  • Demonstrated skills in the use of computer applications, including CRM/mobility or similar mobile technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of financial accounting systems and high-level computer literacy, including spreadsheet and database skills within the MS Office suite.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing budgets with an understanding of accounting processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Current Class C driver licence.
  • Commitment and ability to implement Work Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunity principles.
