About the Role
CareSouth is a community-based organization dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children, young people, adults, and communities. We are seeking a Casual Supervised Contact Worker to join our team in Goulburn.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality supervision for visits between children and/or young persons in care and their families.
- Ensure the child's best interests are protected during contact.
- Facilitate safe and constructive contact visits, promoting positive interactions between parents/participants and children.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and well-being of children, young people, and individuals with disabilities.
- Hold a tertiary qualification or be working towards one in a relevant field, such as social welfare, psychology, education, or counseling.
- Hold a current First Aid Certificate.
- Exhibit excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- possess excellent observational and report writing skills.
- Have a sound understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Have knowledge of child development.
- Be able to remain impartial at all times.
- Be able to assess risks in varying situations.
- Hold a current driver's license, have a comprehensively insured vehicle, a mobile phone, and access to a computer.
