Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the Asset Register for the Heavy Rail Fleet & Plant asset class, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and currency.
  • Develop evidence-based business cases, reports, and recommendations by analysing data, assessing risks, evaluating costs, and consulting stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to create integrated investment plans that align with long-term infrastructure strategies and system reliability objectives.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Strategic Asset and Services Plans (TAM SASP) and Asset and Services Plans (TAM ASP).
  • Provide technical assurance across all aspects of asset performance, including safety, environmental compliance, maintenance effectiveness, and operational functionality.
  • Identify and evaluate asset improvement opportunities, including new technologies, upgrades, renewals, and divestments that enhance lifecycle value.
  • Engage with governance mechanisms as the designated asset owner, approving changes related to acquisition, sustainment, renewal, and divestment activities.

As the 'voice of the owner' on governance matters, you will provide strategic advice and signoff, collaborating closely with the Passenger Integration and Planning (PIP) team.
