
Arts Communications Specialist

We are seeking a part-time Theatre Communications Coordinator to join our Arts & Culture team.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for coordinating marketing and social media initiatives, managing social media channels, building strong relationships with sponsors and artists, and working weekends and evenings as required.
- Coordinate marketing and social media campaigns to promote The Wedge Performing Arts Centre.
- Manage and maintain The Wedge's social media presence on platforms including Facebook and Instagram.
- Establish and foster strong partnerships with sponsors, artists, and their teams.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in marketing or a related field (desirable).
- Experience working in a performing arts venue or an arts organisation.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with patrons, clients, sponsors, and industry stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare high-quality marketing materials and documentation.
- Strong organisational skills to plan workloads and determine priorities.
