Paediatric Infection Prevention Specialist
Role OverviewThe role of Paediatric Infection Prevention Specialist is to provide advanced clinical expertise and consultancy in infection prevention and control across Children's Health Queensland. This includes developing, implementing and evaluating an Infection Prevention and Control Program for the organisation.
The specialist will contribute significantly to National Safety Quality Health Care Standard (NSQHS) 3 for CHQ and provide infection management and prevention expertise across CHQ as well as contributing to state and national forums in relation to paediatric infection prevention and control.
- Advanced level of autonomous infection prevention and control clinical and professional practice and representation at various internal and external forums.
- Development and implementation of strategies that support a work-based culture promoting education, learning, research, and workforce development.
- Operational and Professional Manager responsibilities for leading a small team of Clinical Nurses and an Administration Officer.
- Provide paediatric infection prevention and control clinical expertise and representation at HHS, State and National level.
- Participate with and manage Infection Program Service Improvement and Risk Reduction Projects and initiatives.
