We are seeking expressions of interest from registered medical practitioners and professionals in related fields who have a passion for teaching.
About the RoleThis is an opportunity to work with our academic team in the School of Medicine, providing teaching support in various areas of medicine and paramedicine.
The successful applicant will be required to conduct teaching/tutorials/workshops/lectures to the standard of the Faculty, including preparation for the topic and facilitating group discussions relating to the content.
Other duties may include consultation with students in relation to learning and assessment, participating in assessment activities, and attending meetings as required by the Course Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct teaching/tutorials/workshops/lectures to the standard of the Faculty.
- Consultation with students in relation to learning and assessment.
- Participating in assessment activities.
- Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator.
To be successful in this role, applicants should hold a degree registrable with the relevant medical board, and possess at least one of the following:
- A College Fellowship or progress towards (e.g. FRACP, FRACGP, etc) and/or PhD in a field aligned with the research and teaching activities of the School.
- Registration with the Paramedicine Board of Australia, and a PG qualification in paramedicine and/or education | leadership.
- A PhD in a STEM discipline.
Applicants should also have experience in collaborative-based learning environments, skilled at facilitating small groups, discussions, and evoking thoughts and questions from others.
