About the Opportunity

Uniting Child Care Centre in Neutral Bay is a not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre that provides high-quality care and education to children from birth to six years old. The centre has a capacity for up to 44 children and is easily accessible by public transport via Military Road. The operating hours are from 7am to 6pm.

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an active team member, you will be required to support the service in the provision of high-quality care and education for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop positive relationships with children, their families, and the community.
  • Facilitate play-based learning environments that are responsive to children's interests, strengths, and abilities.
  • Document children's learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.
Requirements
  • Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education with previous on-the-job experience (preferred).
  • Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
  • A work history that demonstrates programming, writing learning stories, and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework (National Standard).
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and community members.
