Job Overview

The Environmental Services Manager is responsible for leading and supervising housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff in a healthcare facility.

This role requires effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to ensure compliance with policies and federal/state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams
  • Perform and lead light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry duties
  • Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions
  • Manage records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment
  • Serve as liaison between occupants/administrators and staff
  • Use protective gear safely and handle cleaning solutions appropriately
  • Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision necessary
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds and perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions and perform daily tasks
