Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Penguin Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing and working on multiple projects simultaneously, leading scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and coordinating projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Lead scheme development, preliminary and detailed designs, and coordinate projects
  • Contribute to or lead efforts in business development, budget management, and preparing fee proposals
  • Mentor and support junior team members to ensure high-quality technical and non-technical deliverables
  • Work in a design office while actively participating in design meetings, site inspections, and progress reporting
  • Strong communication and liaison with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities
Requirements:
  • BEng, MEng, BSc, MSc, HND, or HND in Civil Engineering, with significant experience in a design office
  • Proficiency in Auto CAD, PDS, Civils3 D, and Micro Drainage for technical analysis and design
  • Solid understanding of technical software such as Civil 3 D and Auto Track
  • Experience working with residential developers
  • Knowledge of UK planning procedures and the ability to provide technical support to secure planning approvals
  • Experience securing technical approvals from highway and drainage authorities
