**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a position as a Family Case Manager, working with families who have been impacted by relationship breakdown, family separation, and family violence.

As a Family Case Manager, you will be responsible for delivering and case managing child-focused, site-based, supervised contact services between children and adult family members. This will involve conducting thorough intake safety and risk assessments regarding family violence and child protection, orientating new families, supervising contact visits, providing therapeutic case management, advocating for the safety of clients, making referrals and liaising with other services.

You will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including family dispute resolution practitioners and family law counsellors, to foster and maintain a supportive and constructive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of child development, child protection, and individual and systemic issues, including domestic and family violence. You will also have a demonstrated capacity to engage with and support children and young people, and to identify, assess and appropriately respond to client and service-related risks.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Delivering and case managing child-focused, site-based, supervised contact services between children and adult family members.
  • Conducting thorough intake safety and risk assessments regarding family violence and child protection.
  • Orientating new families and supervising contact visits.
  • Providing therapeutic case management and advocating for the safety of clients.
  • Making referrals and liaising with other services.

**Requirements:**

  • A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counselling or related field.
  • Demonstrated capacity and skills to work with adults and children impacted by relationship breakdown, family separation, family violence, mental health issues, and family law processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide supervised contact and therapeutic case management of separated families impacted by high conflict and multiple complex issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child development and child protection issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage with and support children and young people.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills, and competence in using client management systems and phone/online modes of service delivery.
