Job Title: Design Drafter

Water Infrastructure is a rapidly growing industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled Design Drafter to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering civil and mechanical design documentation for water infrastructure projects across Australia.

We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of water and sewerage design, including pipelines and pump stations. Proficiency in 12d or Civil3D and AutoCAD is essential.

In addition to technical skills, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support design and drafting work across civil, mechanical, and structural disciplines for water infrastructure projects.
  2. Prepare process and mechanical design documentation using AutoCAD and 12d Model or Civil3D.
  3. Work closely with senior engineers to develop practical, cost-effective designs for water infrastructure projects.
  4. Apply skills in designing and detailing water infrastructure, including pipelines and pump stations.
  5. Use software tools to produce accurate drawings and improve drafting workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. 3–5 years' experience in civil design, ideally in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  2. Solid understanding of water and sewerage design, including pipelines and pump stations.
  3. Proficiency in 12d or Civil3D and AutoCAD for infrastructure projects in Australia.
  4. Willingness to work on varied projects and learn new technical aspects.
  5. Good organisational skills to help manage workloads and meet deadlines.
  6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work independently or collaboratively.
  7. Exposure to Inventor 3D, Revit, Plant 3D, or GIS tools.
  8. Awareness of drafting standards for Australian Water Authorities.
