Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is seeking an experienced Sponsor Coverage Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Global Commercial Banking division, you will play a critical role in the growth and development of our sponsor coverage business.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with senior team members, clients, and stakeholders to drive strategic dialogue, origination of M&A financing mandates, and risk management. You will also be responsible for preparing pitch books, coordinating relationships with financial sponsors, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of financial sponsors, including private equity, infrastructure, and real estate firms
  • Prepare high-quality pitch books, presentation materials, and analysis reports to facilitate client engagement and deal origination
  • Collaborate with senior team members to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them
  • Support the implementation of effective risk management practices to ensure the stability and integrity of our client relationships
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends, economic conditions, and regulatory developments that impact our business
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 2+ years' experience in debt transactions, financial modeling, and data analysis
  • A strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
