About this role, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and cooking high-quality dishes for our à la carte, banquet, and tasting menus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement innovative menu ideas that showcase fresh seasonal produce and customer preferences.
  • Lead and mentor junior kitchen staff, including cooks and apprentices, to ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and safe storage to maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control kitchen costs to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on Italian and Mediterranean-inspired dishes to create unique and exciting culinary experiences.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
  • Strong background in Italian, Mediterranean, or Modern Australian cuisine.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail and creativity.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
