Legal Advisor Role
The Legal Advisor position presents a high-impact opportunity to contribute on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This role involves operating at a high level in a private equity firm with flexibility and work-life balance. As a key team member, you will work closely with senior leadership and external legal advisors across a diverse scope of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support with fund and deal execution
- Compliance management under the relevant regulatory framework
- Drafting and reviewing investment agreements, NDAs, fund documentation, and commercial agreements
- Participation in the compliance committee and portfolio company support
- Oversight of policy updates and external-facing documentation
- Providing internal legal education
- General in-house legal duties
About You/Qualifications:
- 4+ years' post-admission experience
- General corporate/commercial law experience
- A sound understanding of the Australian financial services regulatory environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills and sound commercial judgment
- Experience in funds management or wholesale fund structures is highly regarded but not essential
